Hats Off Day Parade
Burnaby, B.C.
June 2005

The Hats Off Day Parade was the CMRS's second parade. Vehicles provided were a 1945 GPW "Jeep", 1945 10 CWT Canadian trailer, a 1971 Kaiser, UN jeep plus three Dodge Weapons Carriers. All vehicles were complimented with World War Two Veterans. As a highlight to the parade, the CMRS provided over two thousand, 2005 Canadian Victory nickels to the veterans to throw to the children along the parade route. The group also formed a display in front of the Legion to provide an educational show and photo opportunity for all the spectators. The display was over whelmed by young and old alike. Many thanks to Ian McArthur and his family for providing the weapon's carriers which helped make this event an overall success.
