It is the intent of the CMRS to collect, preserve, research, exhibit and educate




We are a non-profit society and CMRS members have procured a large number of vehicles and artifacts for the collection. It is our long tem goal ( a four year plan ) to open a museum within the GVRD for the benefit of future generations.

Canadian Military Trivia - United Nations Peace Keeping
bullet The UN peace keeping forces were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The service by Canadian troops was part of that. 
bulletThe Canadian Military Remembrance Society has acquired for preservation a Canadian 1968 M38A1CDN2 jeep that was used by UNFICYP in Cyprus. 
bulletCanada was an early proponent of UN peace keeping and has participated in virtually every mission.
bulletMany Canadian military personnel have died or have been wounded on UN duty.
bulletThe Battle of the Medak Pocket:  In the former Yugoslavia, Canadian troops engaged in a full battle which was the largest firefight since the Korean War.
